Well, quite a day yesterday. I worked at the J-O-B until 5:00, went home, went to the P.O. and the hospital to visit someone who turned out to NOT be there (which is a good thing, right). Leaving the hospital, I secretly wished I could check in for the R&R. I figured I could handle some bedrest and daytime tv. Then it was off to the Humane Society office for Nina's adoption.
Why is it the ONE animal your child gets extremely attached to is the one who gets adopted first? Why, why, why???? I think I took it harder than Bridget though. Five more to go. I guess I had better be practicing.
Magic, magic...what "magic" has happened? Sadly, I cannot think of any. I need to re-center myself. Somehow other "unhealthy" things have crept in AGAIN and shifted my focus.
Maybe I do need that hospital stay...
Reen
Lots of things make me happy and give me that "sick sense of satisfaction".

Whew! Boy... it has been a while since I blogged! This month has flown by with all the preparations of back-t0-school (yeah!) and all the last minute summer fun. I am EXHAUSTED!!!
This past weekend, Bryan and I (with our friends Colby and Traci) attended the GenCon Indy convention. I must say that I did not know quite what to expect. I had never attended a convention like this. I think I was expecting a trade show.
We got there and found a quiet spot out of the way to look over the convention map and find out where we needed to be, where the autograph section was (naturally!) and what was going on that day. Suddenly we hear Gregorian Monks chanting. I looked up and saw a line of monks clad in brown robes, the hoods over their faces. The chant ended and they all slapped themselves on the head with the convention program they were carrying! I kept watching to see if they would do it again and they did!
Other highlights included:

I can't think of anything else, I will post more as my memory comes back. Pictures will be posted on my website after they are developed. Hurry up, Wal-Mart!!!

Hello all!
Busy, busy, busy again. When is it not? Our weekend was enhanced by the presence of one
We celebrated her birthday next week by attending the Effingham County Fair and watching Trace Atkins wiggle his tushie onstage. I still can't hear out of my right ear from Bridget and Danielle's squeals. My eyes still hurt from the lady in red wearing a black thong (long, ugly story...trust me you don't want to know. ouch ouch!)
Other weekend highlights included:
Chili Pickle!
Baskin Robbins ice cream
