My Horoscope was odd today...

"Scorpio October 23 - November 21: Be nice to people today, dear Scorpio. Whether you realize it or not, there are those out there who may be a bit scared of you because of your biting personality and attitude that likes to tell others exactly how it is. Today is the day to show people another side of you. Show them the warm, sensitive, devoted, and nurturing side that is soft and intimate and loving. Love and understanding are the best ways to gain support from those around you."

What? Are they saying I am NOT NICE? Who have they been talking to? And WHO in the world is scared of me? Attitude? I think they had some major typos going on today and no one has stepped up and taken the blame for it.

Hi. Funny thing.... I am on hold with my Dr's office and "Bad Medicine" by BonJovi is playing while I am on hold.

I can hardly keep from laughing! The nurse is going to think I am nuts when she gets back on the phone!

Am I REALLY a blonde in disguise?

Every morning Skyler (my beagle boy) and I take our medicine together. He has to take 34 mg of Phenobarbital to prevent his seizures and I have to take my thyroid medicine.

So Saturday morning, Skyler wasn’t up yet and I decided that I needed to go ahead and take my pill and give his medicine to him later. When I give Skyler his pill, I wrap it in cheese or ham, whatever we have on hand so that it becomes a “treat” for him. Well, the other dogs have caught on and they want a piece of the action! So I usually have to give them little scraps of the cheese or ham too.

Saturday morning, I am standing at the counter where the medicine is as usual and I have Penny and Libby begging because they know they will get a treat. I am the one who got the treat that day, I suppose. I got out the bottle of pill…shook one into my hand…plopped it in my mouth…swallowed…and realized I had just taken Skyler’s Phenobarbital!

I ran to tell Bryan who was getting ready to shower. I felt so stupid, but I HAD to tell somebody. He suggested that I call his step-mom Kathy, but I didn’t want to worry her unnecessarily, so I called the poison control center phone number, which is by the phone. The low dosage did not hurt me in any way. She said the worst would be that it could make me drowsy.

I could live with that.

I can only blame the shingles I am suffering from and the lack of restful sleep.
Sheesh.

Not much new to report

Carla does have some new book titles in the works:

"Mumbling Lyrically"
and
"Tumultuous"

I think "Tumultuous" should be a movie title actually.

Other than that I am covered in Shingles and on my way to play Tom my cell phone rings.
What a day.

Update on all things Reen-y
More tidbits and choice morsels

1. Catalogs are in.

2. I have recouped from Star Wars Celebration III (barely)

3. I am now on prescription medication for the rest of my life. Sorry, people, I was declared completely sane.

4. In 4 1/2 days I will be the mother of TWO teenage girls.

5. My own personal room is coming along fine. I have my couch, my chair, my drawing table and a desk. Now I just need more room for the rest of my stuff!

6. Skyler dedicated a song to me on "Sunday Night Candlelight" on our local radio station. The song was "I knew I loved you before I met you." How true!

7. Carla should not go anywhere in a giggly mood. Her nephew's graduation ceremony was almost too much to bear.

8. Cindy likes to give corn to our dogs, but she always asks first.

9. Bridget has learned to never apply concealer AFTER putting on a black dress.

Ciao!
