I am a Pineapple...

Which fruit would you pick if you were handed these:

1. Orange
2. Apple
3. Banana
4. Coconut
5. Pineapple
6. Papaya
7. Mango
8. Cherry
9. Black Grapes
10. Peach
11. Custard Apple
12. Pear

I chose Pineapple... (which sounds really good right now!) According to this email, this is what my choice says about me:

"You are quick to decide and even quicker to act. You are brave in asking career changes, if that is what is to your advantage. You have exceptional organizing abilities and are undaunted by the size of the task at hand. You tend to be self reliant, sincere and honest in your dealings with others. Though you are not given to making friends very quickly, but once you do, it is for life. You rarely, if ever, make romantic overtures. Your partner is often impressed with your sterling qualities but disappointed in your ability to show affection."

I should have known I wouldn’t get to see “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” for the 2nd time yesterday!!! I should have known!

1. We get to the movie theater which advertised “Gourmet Popcorn”. They have the most awesome caramel popcorn EVER! Nothing like Cracker Jacks, trust me. So we order Caramel Corn. Nope sorry we are out. Then the worker (high school kid) says and I quote… “We have these, but they are getting stale. You might want to try them first.” Okay, I know I should THANK the kid for being honest, but I wanted to ask how old the Sprite was I was drinking and how dirty the napkins were.

We ordered regular popcorn.

2. Bryan and get sat down and we are the only people in the theater. That changed before the movie started but it was kind of weird there for a while.

We watched the trailers, which I LOVE to see. I like getting excited about upcoming movies. There was not ONE movie they showed a trailer for that I would even rent off the $1 rack in desperation.

4. The movie began. We watched poor Elizabeth in her wet wedding gown (it was raining) run to Will –who looked dry by the way - and subsequently get arrested. We saw the movie slow down, go out of focus and we heard “Flip Flip Flip” and then we saw the movie melt in front of our eyes.

No more movie.

SO…we ended up going to K-Mart. How sad is that? We walked out with full drinks and popcorn.

I was SO disappointed!!!

What to rename the blog?
Sick Sense of Satisfaction just doesn't seem applicable to my current situation....

It has taken me a little bit to get this all typed up. Not proofread...but I think you will enjoy "My Thursday"...

Started out ok ended comically/horribly

~ Got gas in my car
~ Went to take baby Skyler to vet. Vet is in another town 10 miles away.
~ On the way there, semi pulled out in front of me (had to avoid collision)
~ Semi only drove 45 mph on the highway
~ After semi pulled off, 2 miles down road ended up behind farm truck going 40 mph
~ Late to vet
~ Skyler may need surgery if medicine does not work
~ Drive back~got behind a truck pulling a hay rack with nothing on it – the rack was flying everywhere on both sides of the road. All afraid to pass.
~ Told Skyler we should make it home about noon. Just in time for lunch.
~ Got into town. 2 ½ blocks from home, stopped by train
~ Waited for 15 minutes.
~ Pulled in driveway at 12:10pm

Here’s where my day goes WAY downhill………..

~ In one motion, Skyler pulled me & my purse out of car towards Vegas, our cat, door locks pushed and door slammed. Keys were still in car.
~ Tried to call husband at work. Phone busy for 15 minutes.
~ Gave up.
~ Called daughter at school – she was between classes. Explained to the office secretary the situation that I was stranded and needed her as a last resort.
~ Bridget called back – didn’t understand what was going on – but came home
~ She let me put Skyler in the house
~ I walked out with her because I would need her car to continue with my errands that day – she wondered what the heck I was doing. She acted like I didn’t know how to drive her car.
~ Expl I would pick her up from school (another errand!)
~ Drove her back to school
~ Got gas in her car – she had 1/8 of a tank
~ Picked up other daughter from school
~ Took her to dr’s appt
~ Went to pharmacy
~ Took Cindy home
~ Went to pick up Bridget
~ Went to pick up husband from school
~ Walked in the door at home at 6pm – 6 hours in and out of car!

Hello! Hello! Blogging at lunch can be a good thing....

So what has changed you ask?

...My stress level

...My blood pressure

...My tolerance

On Friday, December 2, I was hired at the my current job. On Monday, December 5th I gave my two-weeks notice to deaf ears as to WHY I was leaving. Supervisor did not hear ONE word I said. The VP was out that day, which made it nice..I only had to deal with one at a time. He was back in the office on Tuesday, however and called me in.

Instead of the customary "I-am-so-sorry-to-see-you-go" story, I was greeted with gritted teeth and the new story of "you-have-no-idea-what-you-are-doing-I-was-going-to-give-you-a-raise!" story. I snickered to myself and said I has already explained to my supervisor and told her I was not leaving for more money. He looked absolutely SHOCKED. It was hilarious. I told him nothing further than it was time to leave and I was doing it.

My hands are hurting so this story will continue...
