AUGH!
Hello from the land of the Nearly Living! We have had a sick ward all weekend and the past 2 days. Luckily with only 2 patients (me and Cindy). I am still so worn out and tired I can hardly hold my head up. Staying home is supposed to be restful, but no matter what room I tried to relax in - I could see at least 10 things that needed my attention right away.
How can relax with such things LOOMING around?
I can't.
So I went to work today.

Whoa! What happened to this week?
No complaints, however, but man has this week flown by! I suppose I should first finish my "100 Things About Me"...so here goes:
90. I used to be really good at cutting in the lunch line in high school. It became a game of trying to catch me. No one ever did.
91. I extorted bubble gum from freshmen in study hall.
92. I painted the walls of my high school - literally. While in high school I painted a bulldog (our mascot) in the cafeteria and after I was married, the school paid me to paint "Wall of Fame" near the office.
93. In college, boys from the 2nd floor liked to chase me and throw me in the shower ( I stayed thin that way and I never ever wore white!)
94. Also while at Mac, I introduced my roomie, Betsy to her first cow and Paul to pigs. He thought they were "fuzzy pigs!"
95. My freshman year at Mac I won the Nellie A. Knopf Memorial Award for Art.
96. Dark chocolate is best
97. I do not like to handle raw meat (I think I was meant to be a vegetarian)
98. I bite my nails when I am bored
99. The only accidents I have ever been involved in were while I was driving other people's vehicles. Can I borrow yours?
100. The 2 times Michele has been pulled over by a policeman I was with her (laffing hysterically naturally!!!)

Ahem. Now that the "100 Things About Me" is over (and kind of anti-climactic, don't you think?) I can return to just "blogging" without feeling guilty.
Carla says I have a lot to blog about, but my mind is blank. I know there have been lots of little funny moment throughout the week. A-ha! I have one! I must credit my daughter, Bridget, for this one.
Bridget was chattering with me on the phone, trying to update me on what had happened that day with her friend Amber*. Apparently, Bridget has felt that Amber has dropped her as a friend for another girl, Ashley**. Bridget told me that she and Amber argued and argued and finally Bridget told her, "Oh, whatever, Amber! All month long you've been up to your nose in Ashley!"
*, ** names of the innocent have been kept because this really happened, they can't deny it and grow up already!
I just find that hysterical.

Back to the List
61. It would have been much easier for me to list my "Pet Peeves" or things I dislike!
62. My favorite movies are "action" movies like "The Mummy", "Troy", "The Lord of the Rings", "Star Wars"
63. I despised the Yankees before I met Bryan
64. I was a DODGERS fan.
65. I love wearing bracelets.
66. I will break any necklace that I wear.
67. I still wear a bracelet that I got for my 8th grade graduation.
68. I feel that when I am procrastinating I am doing something.
69. I want to travel to other countries (like Germany and Scotland) sometime in my life
70. "Competitive" should be the definition of my first name
71. I am addicted to lip balm (me current personal favorite is LipRageous brand in Watermelon)
72. I started using Carmex in high school because my "crush" used it and have been an addict ever since
73. I never, ever, ever wanted to be a cheerleader
74. I always pictured myself living in the country or mountains, having tons of animals and having a workshop of my own.
75. I learned how to juggle (yes, juggle!) for a play my sophomore year in high school. I still can.
76. Oddly enough, I was always EVIL characters in my high school plays. (Evil gypsy and evil Professor Zalinka were the 2 evilest ones)
77. I like to doodle
78. I write fan fiction. (I have about 8 written so far)
79. Most of my best friends (with the exception of Michele & Barb) have been guys
80. I absolutely cannot stand it if a picture is hanging crooked. ( Some people tell me I have some tendencies to be "anal". )
81. I had the chance to go to the U of I on a full scholarship. I didn't. (Sorry, not a blue n orange waver)
82. I love Fig Newtons
83. And Moon Pies!
84. I feel the best places for me to work (other than on my own or for myself) would be to work in an art/office supply store
85. In Junior High, I had a cat named "Mouser".
86. It took Bryan and I 8 hours to pick out our wedding rings. We were exhausted!
87. Barb always had to "cuff" my jeans back when that was cool in the 80s because I could never do it and have it stay!
88. My first boyfriends all had "-y" endings to their names. (Ricky, Richie, Charlie)
89. I used to be able to tolerate other people. That is fading fast, I am afraid.

51. I like office and school supplies...folders, pens, notebooks. I feel so "organized" when I get stuff like that.
52. I have a sister-in-law who is currently 14 (soon to be 15)...Danielle Kate or a.k.a. Tonto
53. I like taking pictures
54. I have very little patience any more
55. I teach a High School Bible Study class
56. I have had baby names picked out since meeting Bryan (he helped too): Boys ~ Trevor Lane and Spencer Correy and Girls ~ Breanna Corine and Georgianne Donna
57. I have small feet and can buy shoes when they go on clearance because my size is always left over. I wear between a 6 and a 7.
58. The bad part is...my daughters wear the same size!
59. My first pet was a Welsh Corgi named "Pretzel". He was actually in the family before I was born. They tell me that when I was brought home he barked and barked at the back door until they brought me to him so he could see me.

Why the heck don't people use or have COMMON SENSE?
a. If you were the last one to use it...put it away?
b. If you use the last item that others will need (like TOILET PAPER)...replace it?
c. If you take something that others might possibly need and spend HOURS looking for...TELL SOMEBODY!
d. If it is raining...wear a coat or use an umbrella.
e. If someone is on the phone, don't speak to them until their phone conversation is complete.
