Ah.... a rainy, gloomy, quiet Friday afternoon.

(man, i want a nap!)

More "magic" and "miracles" happening...

Tuesday, July 27th was our 13th wedding anniversary. I took the day off from work and we were going to enjoy the day at the Grizzlies game, after sleeping late of course! Well, it took us FOREVER to leave town and Bryan even commented that someone didn't want us to get to the game. We thought we had tons of time though since the games don't start until 7:05.

...or so we thought...

We drove around and ended up searching for the "Our Lady of the Snows" shrine. I don't mean to offend anyone, but we were expecting a little 'hole in the wall' concrete shrine with a plaque. We were AMAZED to find our what the shrine really is! There is a hotel, restaurant, statues and tons of walking and reflection trails. It was amazing! Their website is www.snows.org. From what I have learned so far there is over 200acres and it is the largest national shrine. Over one million people visit annually. Bryan and I believe we were meant to find it.

By the time we made it to the ball park, it was 4pm...plenty of time before the game.

Uh...what are all these people doing here...why are they all leaving?

THE GAME WAS AT 12:05 AND WAS OVER BY THE TIME WE GOT THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So......................

We went to the mall and to "Build-a-Bear". I made the World Wildlife Federations lion which I named "Aragorn". (get it? Aragorn? King? King of the Jungle?) Bryan made a beagle and named his Skyler II. We got home much earlier than we planned. We usually get home around midnight, but we were home about 7:00.

Now here comes the real MAGIC part....Skyler had another seizure at about 9:00. If we weren't home, we couldn't have taken him to the vet.

Thank you, God for changing the game time! Skyler is way way way too precious to me to allow him to suffer one second! God knows my heart and he knows what Sky-boy means to me (and to Bryan and the girls too)

Now...another MAGIC moment~~~ we decide the medicine that we administered was not helping him, so I go call the vet knowing it would mean an emergency fee. The vet and the entire staff were STILL IN THE OFFICE at 9:30 at night!!! So we took Skyler to the vet and discussed upping his medicine etc.... Again, this would not happen on a normal day. Cathy, our friend who works there and Dr. Nanci both said they were just about to walk out the door when we called. They had just been hanging around talking.

Whew...it was a miracle day for sure. There were lots of other moments too. Bridget and Cindy got Bryan and I presents for our anniversary and gave them to us in the Wal-Mart parking lot. People must have wondered what the heck was going on. (not that I cared of course)

As I can I will add to the list of magic that happened.
See yas!
