WHEW! March flew by like a tornado! Wow! What hit me?
Seriously though, March was awesome for several reasons:

1. I met my fav-o-rite author, SARK on March 4th at the UofI at Urbana-Champaign. She was just as inspiring, just as enthusiastic and just as marvelous as I imagined she would be.

I took the afternoon off from work, leaving at 1:00. I went home not knowing what to do. So I took a bath and relaxed. I decided I wanted to be comfortable - it is an hour drive to Champaign. So I wore jeans, an ivory mock long-sleeved tee and one of my favorite vests. Not colorful like I wanted to be - but still me. (Color is everything to SARK).

The drive to Champaign was tons o' fun with Bryan. We talked the whole way. I tried to explain to him WHO SARK was, why she was the way she was etc... No matter how I tried Bryan just looked at me funny. I remember thinking that she will make him understand.

And she did! Bryan even raised his hand to ask a question which shocked me to no end! Everyone got to have 2 things signed and to talk with her. The people who got her to the UofI even gave us a card to have SARK sign for our friend Demetra who couldn't be there (she got married, can you believe it?)

Anyway, I had her sign my "How to Make Your Creative Dreams Real..." book as well as one of the gi-normous post-it notes she used in her talk. I have met several celebrities in my life: sports stars, movies stars, tv stars, singers... but SARK with her "stardom" left more of an impression on me than any celebrity ever has.

Thank you SARK!

2. I attended DeColores (#98) the following weekend. I cannot describe what I experienced there. Joy Peace Sorrow Exhiliration at being alive Thankfulness Calm Beauty Bliss Love Friendship

If anyone EVER gets a chance to attend a weekend ... DO IT. It is life-changing, mind-blowing and awe-inspiring. Thank you, Lord, for my DeColores family!

3. After the highs of SARK and DeColores, I began feeling a little down. Then GOOD FRIDAY happened. I watched "The Passion of the Christ" with my D.O.C. kids (Disciples of Christ) and the spirit of the Lord was there with us. I thank God daily for His Son!!

Easter Sunday was beautiful as well. We had a breakfast at the church before service.

Random Thoughts from March, 2005:

Terri Schiavo passed away March 31, 2005. We, as God's people, are held accountable not only for the things in life that we do, but also for the things we do NOT do. Terri's untimely death should NOT have happened. Murder was allowed at the Hospice Woodside in Pinellas Park, Florida.
